Vicosa. If you are going to spend time in Brazil, you will quickly realize that buffets (called Self-Service in proper Portuguese) are the way to go. The food in Brazil seems to have more flavor than we are accustomed to in the US and its easy to get carried away. Perhaps because we tend to concentrate on the sauce and marinade, whereas in Brazil there seems to be more of a focus on the actual flavor of the meat, tomato, etc. So I again took the liberty of codifying Akio’s wisdom, this time for the sake of waistlines.
Here it is: You are allowed to put meat and rice only between 11:00 and 2:00 (lunch hours) on your plate. The vegetables are the US flag, the meat/rice a state flag — you can’t go higher than the veggies.

This plate is Akio approved!
