Tomás Eliodoro

Tomás Eliodoro has considered himself to be a coffee grower since birth. As the grandson and son of coffee farmers, Tomás grew up hearing stories about coffee and always knew he would follow the same path.

Nowadays, Tomás works as an Agronomic Engineer at the country’s most prestigious national university. He has passed on the farm’s main duties to his longtime business partner and his daughter, but he will always be present in the farm’s production process.

The Cerrado Mineiro Region is a world recognized high quality coffee producing origin - the first “Designation of Origin” in Brazil, located in northwest of Minas Gerais State.

To achieve the Federation’s official Origin and Quality Certification, a coffee must meet eight requirements, including the geographic boundary, minimum elevation, storage standards, a signed statement of responsibility by the producer, and a minimum Specialty Coffee Association quality score of 80.
